UOB Credit and Debit Card Services Fully Restored After Disruption

Bank resolves payment service interruptions and apologizes for the inconvenience.

SINGAPORE – UOB has announced the full restoration of its credit and debit card payment services after an intermittent disruption on the morning of 18/11/2024.

In a Facebook update at 10.56 am, the bank informed customers about the issue, advising them to use the QR code payment option in the UOB app as an alternative. By 12.32 pm, UOB confirmed that services had been fully reinstated, thanking customers for their patience.

Service Interruption Timeline
Reports of service disruptions began around 7.33 am, according to Downdetector, with a peak of 17 outage reports at 11.18 am. The disruptions affected payment services, causing temporary inconvenience to cardholders.

Customer Communication and Resolution
The bank initially shared that services were being progressively reinstated before confirming the full restoration. “We apologise for any inconvenience caused and we thank our customers for their patience,” said UOB in its statement.
