Tragic Incident at Sea
On October 22, 2023, Ms. Chew’s kayak capsized in the Buran Channel near Sentosa. Despite efforts to locate her, her body was recovered two days later. The Singapore Civil Defence Force confirmed her passing, marking a heartbreaking end to a life dedicated to helping others.
