SINGAPORE – A 26-year-old trailer driver has been arrested for careless driving causing grievous hurt following an accident with a motorcycle on the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) on November 1.

Incident Details
The accident occurred at around 6:25 PM on the BKE towards Woodlands, near the Turf Club Avenue exit. The collision involved a trailer truck and a motorcycle, with the motorcyclist, also 26, conscious when transported to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).

Authorities confirmed that the trailer driver was arrested at the scene, and investigations into the cause of the collision are ongoing.

One video, posted by user @liah8676, shows bystanders directing traffic on the expressway as an SCDF ambulance and the trailer occupy the rightmost lane.
Another video, shared by user @sandhusaab0819, reveals the trailer’s driver cabin detached and facing the opposite direction of traffic, illustrating the force of the collision.

The accident caused significant disruption on the expressway, prompting bystanders to step in and manage traffic until authorities arrived.

The SCDF emphasized its swift response, confirming one individual was promptly attended to and transported to the hospital.
