Incident and Aftermath
The attack occurred during the church’s monthly children’s mass, leaving Father Lee with multiple injuries, including an 8cm tongue laceration and cuts on his face. He underwent surgery and was discharged from the hospital on 15/11/2024.

Mr. Tan, a former member of the Special Operations Command, and Mr. Liew were commended for their courage and quick thinking.

Enhancing Security
Father Lee affirmed the church’s commitment to reviewing security measures to ensure a safe yet welcoming atmosphere. Echoing his sentiments, Archbishop William Goh urged balance, emphasizing that overzealous security measures might discourage churchgoers.
