Spectra introduces ISS+ to enhance vocational training and opportunities for Normal (Technical) student
Since 2023, Spectra Secondary School has introduced an expanded ITE Skills Subject (ISS+) to provide deeper vocational learning for its Secondary 3 students. The new curriculum builds on existing ISS offerings like culinary, mobile web applications, and restaurant operations, offering advanced training, additional industry attachments, and specialized masterclasses.
The move aligns with the school’s 10th Anniversary theme, “Forward Singapore, Upward Spectra,” celebrated on October 28, 2023. During the event, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office Maliki Osman praised Spectra for uplifting students and fostering a strong foundation for skills-based education.
ISS+ students will gain broader exposure and hands-on experience, positioning them for success in technical fields. The program complements Spectra’s holistic approach, supporting both academic and vocational pathways.
Spectra has become a choice school for many students seeking a skills-based education, offering opportunities for industry attachments and mentorship. The school remains committed to inclusivity, providing personalized learning for students with special needs or financial challenges.
The anniversary celebrations showcased student talent and achievements, with alumni and current students sharing how Spectra has impacted their educational journeys. Spectra’s emphasis on diversity, inclusion, and real-world experience continues to foster the growth and success of its students.
