Provisions for Collection and School Selection
Singapore’s 2024 Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) results will be released on November 20 at 11am. The Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board have confirmed that students will be able to collect their results directly from their schools. For those unable to collect their results in person, a proxy can be appointed to do so by November 22.
Students will also receive the Secondary 1 (S1) Option Form alongside their PSLE results, which is necessary for selecting secondary schools. They must use a unique S1 personal identification number to log into the S1 Internet System and submit their school preferences between 11.30am on November 20 and 3pm on November 26. Assistance for online submission is available from primary schools until 3pm on November 26.
Secondary school posting results will be communicated via SMS between December 18 and December 20, with additional access through the S1 Internet System or directly from the primary school. Students are not required to visit their assigned secondary school immediately after receiving their posting results; all necessary information regarding uniforms, books, and other logistics will be available on the school’s website.
Since the 2023 cohort, students have been allocated to secondary schools via three posting groups based on PSLE scores, corresponding to previous educational streams. Students interested in hands-on learning can apply to Crest Secondary School or Spectra Secondary School. These schools provide a skills-based curriculum, preparing students for further education at the Institute of Technical Education. Applications for these specialized schools are open from November 20 to November 26, with outcomes announced by December 11. Students applying directly should still submit the S1 Option Form as a contingency, but their other school choices will be voided upon admission to these schools. Those not applying directly can still list these schools on their S1 Option Form.
