Fatal Accident in New Bridge Road Leaves One Dead
SINGAPORE – A tragic incident occurred in Chinatown on October 28, 2024, when a 53-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a truck. The Singapore Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) were alerted to the accident at 2:20 pm, which took place along New Bridge Road, towards Kampong Bahru Road and before Merchant Road.
The pedestrian was initially conscious and was rushed to Singapore General Hospital but unfortunately passed away from his injuries. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
