Motorists Waiting for VEP Tags Can Collect Them in Toa Payoh

An alternative collection option for those waiting for their Vehicle Entry Permit tags.

Motorists who have been waiting for their Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) tags can now collect them in person at the City-link Express office in Toa Payoh, following delays in delivery. Since October 1, all foreign-registered vehicles entering Malaysia are required to have VEP tags, which motorists can apply for through Malaysia’s Road Transport Department (JPJ) website.

However, many motorists who chose the delivery option have faced long waits, with City-link Express attributing the delays to an overwhelming volume of VEP tags being processed in batches. While the firm aims to deliver within two weeks, high demand has caused some delays.

To ease the wait, motorists can now make an appointment to collect their tags in person. After receiving a tracking number for their VEP, they can email City-link Express with their details to schedule a time for pick-up at the office located at 1004 Toa Payoh North. Walk-ins are not allowed, and motorists are advised to make an appointment in advance.

One disappointed motorist, Mr. Ng Say Ban, traveled from Telok Blangah to Toa Payoh, only to be turned away because he did not have an appointment.
