54-year-old rider pronounced dead at the scene; investigations ongoing
SINGAPORE – A 54-year-old motorcyclist died after an accident on Tampines Road towards Tampines Industrial Avenue 4 on October 26.
The police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) confirmed they were alerted to the incident at approximately 3:50 PM. Preliminary investigations suggest the rider self-skidded. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

A video circulating online shows a toppled motorcycle near the right-most lane, while a blue tent was placed on the grass verge along the roadside.
Authorities have stated that investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.

According to police data, motorcyclists and pillion riders made up half of all road fatalities in 2023, with 68 lives lost. The incident highlights ongoing concerns about motorcycle safety on Singapore’s roads.
