Man Taken to Hospital After Taxi Collides with Motorcycle on PIE

A 73-year-old man is hospitalized after a taxi rear-ended his motorcycle on the expressway.

A 73-year-old man was hospitalized following a collision between his motorcycle and a blue taxi on the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) on November 12, 2024. The accident occurred around 2:20 PM as the taxi, reportedly straddling the two leftmost lanes of the expressway, rear-ended the motorcycle.

Details of the Incident
A video of the incident, shared on the SG Road Vigilante Facebook page, shows the taxi swerving between the two lanes after hitting the motorcycle. Debris from the crash was seen scattered across the road.

The motorcyclist, who remained conscious, was rushed to Changi General Hospital by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF). The 58-year-old taxi driver is currently assisting with the police investigation into the incident.
