M1 acknowledged the issue in a Facebook post at 3:16 PM, informing customers that engineers were investigating. The telecom provider confirmed that its mobile data services were unaffected, suggesting customers use data for calls during the outage. By 3:36 PM, M1 updated that all affected services were fully restored.

Customer Reactions
Affected users shared frustrations online, reporting an inability to make or receive calls or access one-time passwords via SMS. Two-thirds of the reported issues related to mobile phone connectivity.

Company’s Statement
M1 has not disclosed the root cause or the scale of the disruption but emphasized that the impact was limited to “a short period.” Services were restored before 3:20 PM, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
