Credits to recognize contributions of NSmen to Singapore’s defence and security
SINGAPORE – Around 1.2 million past and current national servicemen will receive $200 in LifeSG credits by 30 November 2024, as announced during Budget 2024.
Details of Credit Disbursement
The credits can be used at both online and physical merchants that accept payments via PayNow or Nets QR and will remain valid for a year.
Eligibility:
Full-time national servicemen (NSFs) enlisting by the end of 2024 will also qualify for the credits.
Distribution Timeline:
Credits will be progressively disbursed by 30 November 2024.
NSFs enlisting after 15 September 2024 will receive their credits in December 2024.
Notification Process
Eligible servicemen will receive:
An SMS notification from the official gov.sg Sender ID.
A notification letter sent to their registered residential address.
Accessing the Credits
National servicemen can access and track their LifeSG credits’ validity via the LifeSG mobile app. For those unable to access the credits digitally, hard copy vouchers can be requested through:

Purpose of the Initiative
In a joint statement on 30 October, the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Home Affairs emphasized that the credits aim to recognize national servicemen for their essential contributions to Singapore’s defence and security.
This initiative reflects the government’s continued commitment to honor the service and dedication of its national servicemen.
