Jail, Fine for Woman Who Verbally Abused Hospital Staff and Argued with Cops in Viral Video

Han Feizi filmed herself arguing with a police officer at Singapore General Hospital after verbally abusing hospital staff.

Singapore – Han Feizi, a 29-year-old Chinese national, was sentenced to five weeks and five days’ jail and a $600 fine for her disruptive behavior at Singapore General Hospital (SGH) on October 10, 2024. The incident, which was filmed and later went viral, saw Han verbally abusing a hospital employee and then arguing with a police officer.

Han pleaded guilty to several charges, including using abusive language against both a security officer and a hospital employee. One of these charges involved her filming an altercation with a police officer after she verbally abused a hospital staff member.

Deputy Principal District Judge Luke Tan described Han’s actions as “loutish and belligerent,” stating there was “no excuse” for her behavior, which included shouting abusive words at the hospital worker, who was simply trying to assist her.

Han, who had been in remand for 13 days, also faced additional charges related to her work permit, including lying in her work permit application and moonlighting as a freelance hostess without a valid work pass.

After her conviction, Han’s work pass will be revoked, and she will be permanently barred from working in Singapore.
