Shell, Caltex Raise Petrol Prices by 5 Cents a Litre

Shell and Caltex have increased fuel prices, with some fuel grades seeing a 5-cent rise per litre.

Singapore – Shell and Caltex raised their petrol prices by five cents per litre and diesel prices by four cents on October 20, 2024. This marks their first price change after a two-week lull. The updated prices now reflect a higher cost for petrol, while diesel prices are between $2.71 and $2.78 per litre.

Despite this increase, Esso, Sinopec, and SPC have not adjusted their prices, leaving the prices of fuel at their stations unchanged since October 6.

As for the fuel grades, 92-octane petrol is now priced between $2.84 (SPC) and $2.90 (Caltex), with the 95-octane fuel ranging from $2.88 (SPC) to $2.95 (Shell and Caltex). 98-octane petrol has a price range between $3.36 (SPC) and $3.66 (Shell).

This rise in petrol prices follows a slight increase in crude oil prices due to geopolitical tensions, though prices have since softened.
