A total of 41 motorists, ranging in age from 24 to 58, will face charges for drink driving offenses committed between March and October 2024.

Repeat Offenders: Three of the 41 motorists are repeat offenders, and they face jail time if convicted.
Additional Charge: A 29-year-old man is facing an additional charge for causing inconvenience after stopping his car on the Central Expressway (CTE) road shoulder, obstructing traffic. Investigations revealed he had been drinking before driving and fell asleep at the wheel.
Penalties for Drink Driving: The penalty for drink driving in Singapore includes a fine ranging from $2,000 to $10,000, up to 12 months of imprisonment, or both. Repeat offenders can face higher fines, between $5,000 and $20,000, and imprisonment of up to two years.
