Recognition highlights the outstanding achievements of top-rated lawyers from both established and emerging firms.
In the recently released ST-Statista Singapore’s Best Law Firms 2025 survey, a blend of veteran and young lawyers has been recognised for their excellence in the legal profession. Among the 20 top-rated lawyers featured, Senior Counsel Tan Tee Jim and young lawyer Mark Yeo stand out for their remarkable achievements.
Tan, who practices intellectual property law with Lee & Lee, was lauded for his 44 years of experience. His recognition reflects the high esteem in which he is held by both clients and peers, attributing his success to the support from his clients, colleagues, and associates. Tan emphasised that staying relevant, being curious, and maintaining a strong work ethic are key to success in the competitive field of intellectual property law.
Mark Yeo, co-founder of Fortress Law Corporation, was the youngest to be named in the survey. Yeo, a specialist in criminal law, credits his firm’s unique approach to work-life balance as a central factor in his success. Despite being a newcomer to the field, having founded Fortress Law in November 2023, Yeo and his colleagues have demonstrated that younger practitioners can provide exceptional legal services without sacrificing personal well-being.
Alongside Yeo, other notable lawyers include Bazul Ashhab of Oon & Bazul, recognized for his work in arbitration and dispute resolution, and Keith Han, who was acknowledged for his expertise in insolvency and restructuring.
The list was compiled based on recommendations from clients and peers across various legal fields, highlighting individuals who have demonstrated exceptional competence, dedication, and integrity. The survey did not rank lawyers in a specific order but celebrated their strengths in their respective fields.
The recognition of these legal professionals underscores the continued excellence and innovation within Singapore’s legal landscape, encouraging both established firms and new entrants to maintain high standards in their practice.
