Cavinder Bull and Blossom Hing from Drew & Napier received prestigious global accolades at the Lexology Index awards for their excellence in commercial litigation and restructuring law.
On November 7, Senior Counsel Cavinder Bull, CEO of Drew & Napier, and the firm’s director, Blossom Hing, were honored at the worldwide Lexology Index awards held in London. Mr. Bull won the prestigious title of global commercial litigation lawyer of the year, while Ms. Hing was named the global restructuring and insolvency lawyer of the year.
Mr. Bull, a well-respected litigator, attributes his success to the determination instilled by his mother, who raised him after his father passed away. His career highlights include handling complex cases such as a US$1.34 billion claim brought by former Georgian prime minister Bidzina Ivanishvili against Credit Suisse and representing the liquidators of Hin Leong Trading in a US$3.5 billion case.
Ms. Hing’s recent notable work includes advising on a confidential US$2 billion cross-border corporate restructuring case and winning a key bid for DeFiance Capital against cryptocurrency hedge fund Three Arrows Capital.
Both lawyers have made significant contributions to the legal landscape, especially in Singapore, where the government encourages international arbitration and has established the Singapore International Commercial Court, allowing local lawyers to handle high-profile international cases.
