Accident on SLE Leads to Arrest for Careless Driving
A 32-year-old man was arrested on November 18 for careless driving causing grievous hurt after a trailer he was driving collided with a motorcycle on the Seletar Expressway (SLE). The incident occurred around 8:05 p.m. near the Woodlands Avenue 2 exit, heading towards the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE).
The accident involved a 23-year-old motorcyclist and his 35-year-old pillion rider, both of whom were conscious after the crash and taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
Crash Details and Aftermath
Video footage shared on social media shows the extent of the damage to the motorcycle, with one of the men seen lying on the ground near the wreckage, wearing a helmet. Authorities were alerted to the scene immediately, and both SCDF and police responded quickly to assist the victims.
The trailer driver has been arrested and is currently under investigation for his role in the crash.
