Accident on BKE results in injuries to two men
Two men were taken to the hospital after being involved in a hit-and-run motorcycle accident on the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) on the morning of Nov 20. The accident occurred around 9:45 am, near the Dairy Farm exit, as the motorcyclists collided with another bike.
The men, aged 20 and 23, were conscious when they were transported to Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF). Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
In 2023, traffic accidents in Singapore led to 136 fatalities, a significant increase from the previous year. Motorcyclists and pillion riders accounted for over half of these incidents and fatalities.
