Singapore will usher in 2025 with vibrant celebrations at key locations, including Marina Bay, Sentosa, and 17 heartland spots, as part of the ONE Countdown 2025. This event will mark the beginning of the SG60 commemorations, celebrating the nation’s 60th birthday with the theme “Building Our Singapore Together.”
The festivities will kick off on December 31, 2024, and include a wide range of activities. At the Singapore Sports Hub, Mediacorp will host a countdown show featuring live entertainment, fringe activities, and a spectacular fireworks display. The show’s festivities will begin at 5 p.m., with the gates opening at 7 p.m.
At Marina Bay, visitors can enjoy light projections at The Fullerton Hotel, live performances at the Esplanade, and fireworks over the bay. Other events will also take place in December, including the immersive illumi experience at Bayfront Event Space, showcasing massive light sculptures and multimedia.
Sentosa will be hosting a major countdown party at Siloso Beach, where the Yuewen Music Festival will feature international acts like Afrojack and Lala Hsu, along with a breathtaking display of over 1,000 drones and fireworks. Additionally, Palawan Beach will offer a more relaxed evening with a movie marathon and a fireworks display at midnight, while a family-friendly countdown will take place at Palawan Green.
For those looking for a futuristic experience, Clarke Quay will offer interactive digital games and drone shows over the Singapore River. Orchard Road will see crowds at the Great Christmas Village with carnival rides and live performances, while Somerset Belt will host a variety of events, including Trifecta’s hybrid skate bowl, indie music at *Scape, and a family-friendly countdown at Somerset Youth Park.
In the heartlands, celebrations will be organized by the People’s Association at 17 locations including Ang Mo Kio, Bedok, Tampines, Yishun, and more, featuring activities like carnivals, stage performances, and food stalls for residents to enjoy with their families and friends. Details for each location will be provided in early December.
Migrant workers will also be part of the celebrations at more than 10 dormitories, with special countdown events at six recreation centres, featuring live performances, carnival games, and fireworks displays.
This wide-reaching celebration ensures that all Singaporeans, residents, and workers can partake in the joyful occasion as the nation embarks on its 60th year.
