Police Centres in Yishun to Merge on Dec 18; Yishun South Centre to Become Unmanned Post

Restructuring of police ground deployments aims to optimize resources and enhance incident management capabilities.

On December 18, 2024, Singapore’s police force will reduce its number of police stations as part of a restructuring initiative. The Yishun North Neighbourhood Police Centre (NPC) will merge with Yishun South NPC, creating a larger, consolidated station to better manage various incidents and complexities. This merger will bring the total number of police stations in Singapore down from 35 to 34.

The new Yishun NPC will occupy the current premises of Yishun North NPC at 31 Yishun Central. Meanwhile, the Yishun South NPC at 32 Yishun Street 81 will be transformed into the Nee Soon South Neighbourhood Police Post, following its closure for renovations in January 2022.

Additionally, the existing Nee Soon South police post at 798 Yishun Ring Road will be re-designated as the new Khatib police post. Both of these locations will operate as unmanned police posts, equipped with self-help kiosks available 24/7, allowing residents to access police services at any time.
