50-Year-Old Man Charged with Murder After Fatal Stabbing in Clementi

A tragic stabbing incident in Clementi has led to a murder charge for a 50-year-old man, following the death of a grassroots volunteer.

On October 21, a fatal stabbing occurred at Block 311B Clementi Avenue 4, resulting in the death of 41-year-old Winson Khoo Chin Wah. The suspect, 50-year-old Toh Chee Hong, was arrested at the scene and charged with murder on October 23. Toh appeared in court via video-link, where he was handed a capital charge for the alleged killing.

According to court documents, the weapon used in the crime has not been disclosed. Investigations suggest that the two men were known to each other. Video footage captured by residents shows the suspect chasing Mr. Khoo before allegedly stabbing him repeatedly after he fell.

The victim, identified by the People’s Association (PA) as a grassroots volunteer, was found unconscious and later died in Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. The PA expressed sadness over his death, while Toh’s connection to the organization was clarified—he is not a member of any PA grassroots group.

The case will be heard again on October 30, and Toh has been remanded for further investigations.
