Two separate accidents, involving motorcycles, cars, and a taxi, result in three injuries on the Seletar Expressway.

SINGAPORE – A chain collision on the Seletar Expressway (SLE) on the morning of October 26, 2024, left three people injured, with two motorcycles involved in separate accidents within seconds of each other.

The incident occurred near the Turf Club Avenue exit, heading towards the Bukit Timah Expressway, around 9:30 am. The police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) reported that the crash involved two cars, two motorcycles, and a taxi.

Three people were taken to Woodlands Health Campus while still conscious. The injured included two male motorcyclists aged 29 and 31, along with a 40-year-old female pillion rider. Fortunately, they were all conscious at the time of transportation.

The Chain of Accidents
A video shared by SG Road Vigilante on Facebook captured the chaotic scene. The first accident occurred when a motorcyclist collided with a grey car as it attempted to change lanes. The impact caused the rider to lose control and topple over. The car driver stopped, exited the vehicle, and checked on the motorcyclist, who was seen limping off the road.

Moments later, a second accident unfolded as a sport utility vehicle (SUV) collided with another motorcyclist and his pillion rider. As traffic came to a halt due to the first incident, the motorcyclist’s bike then collided with the taxi ahead.

Police Investigation Underway
The police are currently investigating the accidents. The two male car drivers, aged 27 and 49, are assisting with the ongoing investigation.

Motorists are reminded to remain vigilant on the roads and exercise caution when traveling in heavy traffic or when other incidents occur on the highway.
